By The Musical Connection

In a remarkable collaborative effort, four prestigious European schools are embarking on a transformative journey into the world of gender identity, student impact, and the evolving educational landscape. The initiative, aptly named "The Musical Connection," promises to leave an indelible mark on the realms of performing arts education and inclusivity.

Finland
The first chapter of You will be Found began in Finland, a country covered in deep, untouched snow, where our team traveled through white landscapes to reach the theatre each morning. It was the very first time that all parts of the project met in real life: the cast, the crew, the band, and the mentors who had worked together for months online. In one week, this international group transformed their ideas, research, and rehearsals into a living, breathing stage production.
What was initially planned as a short run of performances soon grew beyond expectations. We ended up giving five completely sold-out shows, welcoming more than 1,500 visitors to the theatre. The response was overwhelming, the audience engaged deeply, and the discussions afterward often continued long into the evening. Local media outlets covered the performances, surrounding schools reached out to learn more, and community members of all ages came to share their experiences and reflections.
What stood out most was the warmth we received, even in the freezing Finnish winter. People sat on the steps when the theatre ran out of seats, eager to be part of the event. Between rehearsals, we shared laughter, snowball fights, ice skating, and quiet moments in the cold, small but meaningful experiences that brought everyone closer together. Finland became a symbol of beginnings: of courage, connection, and the power of art to turn research into emotion.
